Brett & Cass - Noosa Surprise Wedding

So, the guests turn up thinking they're there to celebrate the engagement. They start to wonder why Cass is so late when finally Brett says they're not getting engaged after all, they're getting married instead. Lots of surprised faces but the best reaction was from Grandma as she had a little teary. So sweet.
I'm still having formatting problems with the blog so I can't place comments on the actual photos so you'll have to figure out which ones I'm talking about. I try to make each couples' photos say something significant or personal about their relationship. To capture something uniquely 'them'. They might not agree but I just love the one of Cass grabbing Brett's butt (she reckons she was checking how thick his wallet was) and the little sailing boats in the background were my attempt to incorporate the sailing/navy history.
Along the same theme of capturing personality, I try to get people to come up with their own pose, or to at least give me a start point for posing. I'm not sure I could have done much with Brett's pose against the stone wall.

Emma & Matthew Wedding

I'm having problems with formatting the blog and one thing I can't do at the moment is rearrange the order of the photos to put them in sequence.
Anyway, Em and Matt were married on a bright sunny morning which then landed us at the beach at midday, Not a photographers preferred time of day to be shooting on the beach due to the harsh lighting but hey, I think we got some pretty good results.
I narrowed the photos down to my favourites for the blog but still ended up with about 100shots. After a really hard edit I still had 25. So I just went through and picked out the ones that I liked the most. Not necessarily the best, but something about them that caught my eye or made me stop and go "ahhh".

Twice the fun!

These little twin tikes had a system going where one would be bright and smiley and the other would either be grumpy or sleeping, and then they'd swap! We did manage to get them both happy at the same time for a few quick shots here and there. Here are three of my favourites, all with a slightly different feel to them.
I photographed Zarli & Codi earlier in the year for their Hand & Feet frame with Impressionable Kids and Mum had me back to get family portraits for Dad's first Father's Day.

Wedding Season

After having a break from photographing weddings for the first part of the year, I'm making up for lost time now. Here's one favourite from Emma and Matt's morning wedding from yesterday. I'm off to photograph Brett and Cassie at Noosa today so you'll have to wait to see more. I have to confess to piggy-backing on the video guys inspiration here as he set up the shot. But I just love the sun flare coming through the tree. If you're looking for video for your wedding, be sure to check out Ben from Velocity Image Services. He had some fun ideas and was great to work with.

Portrait of an artist.

Check out Sandra Conte's exhibition showing at The Gallery, Eumundi (details below on invite). I photographed some of Sandi's art work last week and had fun getting some portraits of her for promo's. One of the shots made the front page of the local valley rag.

Aleisha & Shane - Part Two

I could go on for ages posting favourites but I better get some other work done! Maleny Manor has so many great locations for photos, even once the sun has gone. Enjoy!

I keep wondering what the joke was that cracked Shane up in this photo. I was just out of ear shot, which may be just as well, it's hard to keep the camera still and laugh at the same time.

Just love the Wisteria and the old wagon! I want one in my backyard.

Aleisha & Shane - Maleny Wedding

Held at the beautiful Maleny Manor on a late Sunday Afternoon, Aleisha & Shane traveled from Perth to celebrate their wedding day with friends and family. Here are a few pics to whet your appetite. More to come soon.
