Cruisin' with Kruz

Here is my first little gumnut baby. The girls have the pink and yellow frangipani's and I've been trying to find something for the boys for a while. As an avid gumnut collector (don't ask me why, I just like 'em and I have 'em in all sorts of shapes and sizes all over my house) I was excited to find these in the park just near my house. Baby Kruz was the perfect little model to trial them for me.

Isn't that the cutest little pout you've ever seen? And those eyelashes ...!

Small World

I knew Matilda's Mum when my baby girl was not much older than her baby girl is now and Kristi (Matilda's Mum) wasn't all that much older. Is that the most confusing sentence ever? Anyway, it was good to catch up with past neighbours again. I guess it's a sign of my getting old when the little girls you once knew are now old enough to have little girls of their own. It's a bit like the wee lasses who started Grade One with my daughter Bekky who are now booking me to photograph their weddings. Surely I'm not old enough to have known them that long? (OK, don't answer that!)

Introducing ...

Max!

Grandad's 90th Birthday

Not my Grandad, but Grandad of the four siblings below! The family gathered together at the Coolum Bowls Club for the celebrations and a few group photos. Then the Fab 4 met up at Pt Perry with their families for a few more shots.

I turned up on the day and looked around for the birthday boy and couldn't find anyone that looked old enough. Eventually I discovered this dapper looking bloke below who claims to be 90-years-old.

A big cheer from all the family.

Trying to pin this two-year-old down for a family photo proved a challenge. He wasn't slowing down for any bribe. He was go, go, go the whole time and didn't stay on dad's shoulders for long either.

The couple below look like movie stars, don't you think? Incredibly good-looking but the young Tom Cruise look-a-like was a bit camera shy.

The little fellow in this shot had done his partying for the day and fell asleep on the short trip from the Bowls Club to the Point. He did his best to look alert and happy but I think he really just wanted to curl up and go back to sleep.

Seeing the big kids skipping along the path above and piggy-backing below with peals of laughter ringing out, makes me think they must have had a lot of fun growing up together!

I'm guessing that growing up with 3 sisters makes this eligible bachelor keen to stay single for as long as possible. Or maybe having 3 adoring sisters makes it hard to find someone who measures up?

(It was a fun afternoon folks and it was lovely to meet you all and capture some of your family fun.)

Ruby

I love the name Ruby and this little darling lit up and shone like a Ruby for her photo shoot.

Little Greek God

Young Riley wasn't forthcoming with the smiles like Michael below, but he still provided a delightful array of expressions and poses on the day. I love his Greek God pose in the last image. Or is it a Cleo centrefold pose?Bachelor of the year 2028?

The biggest smile of the year award

Goes to young Michael! At just 6 weeks old, Michael is a natural actor, with so many different expressions, from all out joy, to thoughtful and pensive to plain old happy. Quite amazing. He even does hands and feet well!

Baby Valen

With the recent spate of weddings, I've lost track of where I'm up to with blogging the babies, but I couldn't let this gorgeous family go by without sharing a couple of favourites.

Angela & Brett - From the country to the beach

Bekky and I teamed up again to capture all the action with Brett and Angie. Being a country born and raised gal, Angie requested some country-style shots between the church and the beach. We spotted the fence and had a laugh when Angie's brother asked in an exaggerated drawl if I wanted them to talk like country folk too. Then a stop off at Wirreanda park with the amazing weeping fig trees. I love Bekky's shot with the streak of light shining on the bridal party as they walk along. Then off to Maroochydore Surf Club for some beach action and upstairs at the clubhouse for the reception.
A beautiful day guys. Congratulations!
